COMDEX Fall 2000 Exhibitor Information

For the last several months, I have been telling you about some of the exhibitors that were at COMDEX but not in the COMDEX show. They were exhibitors in small, (60 to 120 exhibitors), shows around Las Vegas. This month, I will provide information on exhibitors that were in the really big COMDEX show. In most cases, the information is taken directly from the press releases.

MAGIX exhibited their program playR® deluxe! This is the first, high-energy, fast-paced, emix tool that includes audio, video and Internet functionality in one program. The consumer culture now has an outlet to become innovative interactive DJ’s with the complete Audio and Video Hi-Fi system for the PC. PlayMode users can automatically compose personal music programs and play lists. With the MP3 finder, you can find any available MP3 song on the Internet. Via the FTP download, you can download sounds and songs from MP3 Internet sites - straight to the play list and up into the mix! Using the (CDDB2TM ), you have direct access to the biggest online database of information on music CDs. About 400,000 entries (album, tracks, artists, length) are available. Singapore-based technology company, ACS Innovations International demonstrated the CD Express 850 and CD Master Express 852. The duplicators are sold under the company’s brand name COMPRO™. No PC connection is needed to perform CD back up or duplication. The built-in controller detects and duplicates different CD formats at the touch of a button. The CD Master Express 850 is a low cost duplicator for office and home users who need to back up their CDs quickly. Through the Sonicbox iM Tuning Service, iRhythm listeners can tune into stations on the broadband-optimized iM BandTM or to any station on the Web, as well as develop and run personal MP3, Windows Media, and Real Audio play lists.
