Although I get many press release, I thought these looked rather interesting.Eastman Kodak Company and Olympus Optical Company, Ltd. today announced a cross licensing agreement designed to expand the market for digital photography. The agreement includes the mutual cross licensing of patented digital camera technologies. Olympus Optical Co., Ltd. is one of the leading manufacturers of digital cameras and will be broadening the consumer digital camera market using high-resolution CCDs. Kodak and Olympus are working together to define and develop these high-resolution CCDs, which Kodak will manufacture and Olympus intends to purchase.
The Digita Desktop SDK allows developers to communicate with DigitaOStm. It includes sample code for retrieving image information from the camera, downloading images from the camera, controlling camera settings, as well as previewing and capturing images remotely. Digita Desktop SDK is available for download at no charge from FlashPoint’s developers’ www.digitadev.com.
www.PlanetWare.com has introduced a software utility that automates the process of grabbing data and printing it in an integrated travel agenda. The software lets a user incorporate any of the over 50,000 world places to visit from the PlanetWare Travel Encyclopedia. The software adds each attraction to a personal travel calendar. It then gives the user the option of dragging and dropping attractions onto specific days into any desired order. The software also allows the addition of personal appointments, meetings, flights, hotels or family visits, complete with personal notes.
Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company, introduced the world’s first combination television and hard disk recorder. The PV-SS2710 combines the company’s high quality, 27-inch PanaBlack tm television with its 30-hour hard disk recorder. Shipping to retailers this month it will have a suggested manufacturer’s retail price (MSRP) of $900.

Good news if you use Enfish Onespace there is a upgrade coming soon. Bad news is it will no longer be a free download. However, an existing Enfish user can continue using it and get the upgrade for free. Users will be notified the next time that you launch the product in the week that Version 3.0 is available and given instructions on how to download the upgrade copy for free.
