Vasanti Vazirani -- Quickbooks Pro SIG Leader

by VV - December 18, 2000 at 18:32:16:

Vasanti Vazirani started NOCCC’s QuickBooks Pro special interest group in August 1998 to share her experience in this accounting software package with our small-business-owner members. She holds a B.B.A. degree in accounting from Moravian College, PA, and a M.Ed. degree in mathematics from Springfield College, MA. She taught college mathematics before working as systems analyst on the East Coast for Olivetti Corp., U.S.M. Corp., The European American Bank, and others.

When she and her husband, Ram, started their investment advisory company about ten years ago, she set up their computers for research, trading, bookkeeping and other back office operations. Over the years, she has also taken over compliance functions from him. The Wall Street Computer Review has published her reviews of financial software. She uses QuickBooks Pro to prepare financial reports for her accountant. Whenever clients, whether they may be start-ups or established businesses, need to use Quick Books Pro, he refers them to her for training.

She is glad that she started this special interest group because it gives her an opportunity to help our fellow members. NOCCC’s wide reach over the net also helps her assist users all the way from Northern California to Florida. She and Ram have been NOCCC members since 1986.
