This volume is an excellent addition to the Jamsa Press’ 1001 tips series. If you are familiar with Windows 3.1 there are major changes in Windows 98. The transition to Windows 98 is difficult and a reference book is a necessity. You can change most things on the desktop to suit your personal preferences. Without a reference book, you will have trouble finding out how to make the changes. Tips show you how to use the Windows 98 Wizards to configure your hardware and software. It explains how to install the FAT32 file system to make better use of your hard disk storage. It explains how to use the System Information utility to view low-level hardware and software settings. This volume is 8.5" by 10.5" and 704 pages. In the front of the book is a 9 page listing of the 1001 tips and a short description of the tip. There is a nine page alphabetical Index of subject areas. Most tips have graphics of dialog boxes to help explain what you are doing.
