How about a free Windows text and HTML editor that has many more features than the Windows Notepad? You can download NoteTabPro Light as a replacement for Windows Notepad at: http://www.notetab.comThe program has ten “clipbooks” which each have multiple subsets of “clips” available for pasting into the test. For example, one of the clipbooks includes all kinds of conversions so you need not load another program to convert from metric to English units. It has features for formating emails as well. Even the free version has a rudimentary spell checker.
You can generate HTML Web pages from text documents, write macros with the programs CLIP language, use a built-in event reminder, even have access to a full set of “smiles” to brighten up your text.
