Important Scheduling Changes

Saturday, July 9, 2005 at 12:00 p.m.
Digital Photography SIG We’re meeting at the Fullerton Arboretum (I57 at Yorba Linda) (http://arboretum.fullerton.edu/), at the north end of the California State University Fullerton (CSUF) campus at 12 noon on SATURDAY July 9, 2005 for a photo shoot. Bring a picnic lunch and any family and/or friends. On the next day at the Digital Photography SIG (9:30 a.m. in Irvine Hall), the pictures will be judged. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd awards will be given, as judged by your peers. Improving the photos via photo editing software is certainly permitted and encouraged (grin).

Assistive Technology SIG New SIG. Computers offer many enhancements that make it easier for people who have additional visual or physical requirements. Many software and hardware accessibility features will be examined in depth each month..

Computer Essentials SIG

The Computer Essentials SIG (special interest group) will introduce you to the world of computing. You’ll learn to sit, crawl, stand, walk, and run a computer with confidence. You’ll start at the beginning, continue until you reach the end, and, then, stop.

Each monthly session will introduce the essentials of using a computer. Over the course of our meetings, you’ll learn the correct way to use a mouse and keyboard, text editing, word processing, file management, anti-virus scanners, spreadsheets, taking care of you computer, fonts, web browsing, newsgroups (UseNet), printing, scanning, file formats, and much more.

Please e-mail computeressentialssig@noccc.org if you plan to attend. Please include a little information about yourself, such as your computer experience, what kind of computer you use, what operating system you use, and any other information that might be of interest to you. Tell your friends, too!
