November 5, 2006
February 2007
NOCCC
Electronic Waste Collection Day

The use and abuse of personal computers has created a tremendous problem. How is computer equipment to be properly disposed so that the hazardous substances (such as lead, nickel, mercury, beryllium, cadmium, chromium, and zinc) do not contaminate the environment?

NOCCC has the solution!
For one day, we will give members an opportunity to safely recycle their useless equipment.
Products may include televisions, monitors (CRT, LCD, and plasma), laptop computers, PDAs, VCRs, printers, cell phones, desktop computers, calculators, and audio-video equipment. Each item must be in a safe to handle condition (no broken glass, no foreign toxic chemicals, no dangerous condition).

Bring these items to the Sunday, November 5, 2006 meeting. Go to the Chapman University Hashinger Science Center parking lot.
Not all items are acceptable. Talk to the NOCCC volunteers about what items will be taken. Do not leave any items in the parking lot unless instructed to do so.
NOCCC reserves the right to refuse any and all items.
